1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, because love is of God, and everyone who loves has been generated from God, and knows God. (LITV)
1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born from God and knows God. (WV)
Wow!!! such a gloriously freeing truth within these simple words, yet also such a challenge laid out for us. If we claim to be followers of Jesus Christ, and servants of the Living God, we will be marked and known for the Love (agape) that we show, each other and the world. For though there is a wrath and a mighty Judgement Seat to come, it is the Love of God and His overwhelming care for His fallen creation that will ultimately win Souls into the Kingdom. We must make it known that the wages of sin is death and that if you are guilty of one bit of the law, you have broken it's entirety and are condemned to Hell!!! BUT, there is a Creator, Savior, Merciful Loving God who loved us enough to pay the price that we never could and set us free from the burden of Sin and Death which has held us captive for so long. The only way the World will want to know so precious a Savior is if we shine the light of who He is and do not compromise the integrity of His Love in our lives...
God Bless...

LOVE such a splendid word with such a meaning! Wow! I could go on and on about just this word. I have learned so much about it through the Word of God. The one thing I have learned the most is that Love isn't love until you give it away. I heard that in a song. It is true...Jesus gave his life to prove His love for us. Now, we can give of ourselves to show our love to others...How wonderful. Yes challanging at the same time, but we can do it!
God Bless You

Love is the fundamental to Christianity. Without it, we have nothing, because it's everything. All fruits are produced from love in one form or another. Jesus is love. I don't think that we need an emotion to have love. I think Agape' transcends that. Not to say that compassion and the emotions of the like are bad or even eventual results of a practiced life of Agape'. It seems to be more of a lifestyle of chosen actions, at times, against our inclinations. It's not difficult to deny a feeling. It is, however, to deny an action without it. That's where obedience comes in. It's where discipline is required.
Despite all of this, Jesus was a compassionate God with intense emotional attachment for his people. He had that teary eyed caring for us fallen people. . . . I want that. It is a good thing. Everyday I walk out this Christianity, God develops more and more his heart in me. . . . haha, I guess it's a fruit rather than the Agape' itself.
