well, thought we could share the reading material that has inspired/helped us...
If there is one book out there that has helped and inspired me and just in general influenced how I try to live, It is the book "In His Steps" by Charles Sheldon.
Written around the turn of the (last) century, this book will challenge your beliefs, and how you evaluate your success in your walk. The recent fad, "WWJD", traces it's roots to this incredible book (unfortunately, the fad lost site of why those 4 little letters are so viatl...).
If you need to be challenged in your walk, please check out this incredible story. If you think you're doing OK, I encourage you even more to check this book out.

Another excellent work that I would reccommend to any and all couples, whether you're just starting out or have been married for 50 years, is "His Needs, Her Needs" by Willard F Harley.
This incredible book breaks down very simply and eloquently the 10 basic needs that all people have and then further breaks it down to the most common 5 for men and the most common 5 for women.
Mr Harley speaks frankly and simply, encouraging, challenging and exhorting us to follow the Steps of Christ and return to the Biblical principal of marriage. He forces us to take a long, hard look at ourselves and evaluate how we live our lives within the confines of marriage.

A Christian's Secret of a Happy Life, by Hannah Whitehall Smith
Awesome book, despite the hokey name.
Written in 1875, but every bit as relevant today.
Highly recommended!!

I am in the process of reading "An Exposition of the Seven Church Ages" by William Marrion Branham...
WOW!!!! I am so ovverwhelmed by this book that it is taking me forever to progress in it. Each thing contained within leads me to higher and higher, deeper and deeper... There are points that still have me stymied, but the research and love that went into this work is nothing short of humbling!! I would reccommend it to any believer with any questions or thoughts on the end of the age, the rapture, the great tribulation or any other end-time things...
thanx for letting me share...

A phenominal book that I have just finished, is: Brokenness by Lon Solomon.
Incredible book, and I believe that it speaks to Jerod's prayer request post on repentance. We all need to be broken to the point that God is able to fully use us. When we are so wrapped up in ourselves, we hinder the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. There is a lot that I could say on this subject, but I will put that in another post at another time. Suffice it to say...Read the BOOK!
