well, without going into every detail and aspect of this story (which would make for a longer post than most of you want to read, and a MUCH longer post than I want to type 
), let me just say that God IS Good and he meets out needs so amazingly...
My wife and I have recently gotten custody of her 12 year old, high-needs child. There have been many stumbling blocks and trials in this, but God has laid on out hearts that this was the course of action for us to pursue...
Well, first and foremost, God has made a way where there seems to be no Way!!!! There have been some obstacles, but it's been so amazing that as we've remained faithful to the calling God laid upon us, just how miraculously He has worked...
The biggest miracle (so far) has been the financial side of things. Going into this we knew that it would be a financial struggle, especially getting ready for his return and the first month (until his SSI would kick in). DHS had told us that they would have all the change-over on the SSI taken care of, and that it would be inplace by the 1st of November...
As it became increasingly obvious that the ball had been dropped on several fronts by DHS, by Mid Oct, I advised my wife to call the Social Security office directly and see what was going on. Well, it turns out that nothing (I mean, NOTHING) had even been started yet, and by now we are approaching the end of October. They make an appointment for her to come up there on the 22nd of Oct, and the lady she talks to is not very optimistic about us getting much accomplished before December...
So, in my humanness, I fret and fume and fuss and worry. Well my wife goes to teh meeting and when she gets home, she says "well, the lady was really nice and liked me and said she'll try to see if we can get some money by mid-November, but we should at least have something by mid-Dec"...
Now God has been abundantly good already as we are a single income family raising 4 (now 5) kids, and when we knew Auston would be returning home, the Lord opened up 10-15 hours of OT to me each week. So, as I'm getting up from my nap after working the graveyard (my OT shift, LOL) shift Tuesday night/Weds morning, Fatima is right there in my face "You awake?!?!?!" Well, now I am, LOL...
Weds, October 24th, the money for October (which we never once even expected to recieve, as we expected to have at least one waiting month for everything to get figured out and caught up) had already hit the bank, and we were on schedule for the regular November deposit!!!!!!
Anyone ever dealt with the Federal Government?? God is Great!!! And I just wanted to give God the Glory for this and to just remind that God will always make a way when you follow what he has called you to. Be faithful to Him, He WILL be faithful to you...
