Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Gal 6:8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Gal 6:9 And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.
Gal 6:10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Ever been faced with the consequences of choices and actions in life? How often we as believers fall into this deception that if we repent, God somehow waives and negates HIS own laws in favor of a "feel-good" forgiveness.... Let us not forget, this letter was written to the CHURCH!!! It is a cause and effect that we are neither exempt from nor immune to... Every command and law God has laid down is for OUR betterment and protection... It is not to take from us or to inhibit our joys in life... It is with the loving care of a Father to child, and the jealous protection of Husband to wife... HE desires an unspoiled and Beautiful relationship with HIS children and wife, and to bring us to where we need to be, HE will punish and correct...
Heb 12:5 And have you forgotten the exhortation which addresses you as sons? --"My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, nor lose courage when you are punished by him.
Heb 12:6 For the Lord disciplines him whom he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives."
Heb 12:7 It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
Heb 12:8 If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
Heb 12:9 Besides this, we have had earthly fathers to discipline us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live?
With the loving hand of a Father, OUR Abba-Daddy will also correct and rebuke those that HE cares for, not from rage, hate or anger, but from a heart, THE heart, of love and concern... It is for our own betterment and ultimate refining... HE has called us to stand separate and holy, and that is NOT the normal or easy road... We WILL fail and falter and forget, it is inevitable, even with the best of intentions... God is there to raise HIS standard and banner of holiness and to return us to the right and the righteous... Do not be dismayed or surprised when these things happen, but embrace the love of HIS correction... Repent and be restored, HIS patience and love are never ending and far reaching...
Psa 30:5 For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.
My precious brothers and sisters, we will find much better joy in our walk if we only remember that HIS desire is to protect, shelter and love us... Even when that great love requires discipline and rebuke, it is only for our improvement and the building of HIS Royal family... So let us persevere in our walk, even when we stumble... And know that HIS great love has indeed covered a multitude of sins... OURS...
God bless...
